Irregular periods after Nexplanon Removal?

Hi all! Need a little help as I'm driving myself insane and convincing myself there is something wrong with me.
I had my implant out 7th Feb, a withdrawal bleed 2 days later and my first real period 10th March. I've been using OPKs as TTC and based on those, ovulated about 1 week ago. Today I had some cramping in my stomach and legs and then all of a sudden AF started. Which I'm really surprised about as I didnt expect it for another 7-10 days and I only ovulated last week! Is this normal or should I be worried that something is up? I know I sound crazy but I'm just not feeling too great and thinking the worst.
I also don't think it could be implantation based on the colour and flow and figured it's not all that common anyway.

Hey! I had my implant out 7 month ago and have been experiencing the exact same thing you have for the last 8 cycles... I have never ever had this issue before...
So my cycles are pretty regular 28 days but I ovulate late, around CD18-20 and then my period comes anything from 7-10 days later. So my luteal phase is really really short. Too short to support a pregnancy. Hopefully yours will regulate sooner than mine has but I'm now on cycle 8 no change! Doctor has no idea what's going wrong and I'm currently having blood tests run

Thanks for replying! This is one of the things I'm worried about after googling - which I know I shouldn't, but its really hard not to!
I'm just confused as to whether it's a short luteal or my cycles are just too short? My last period started 17days ago and then I ovulated around CD 11/12 which I thought was quite normal? But now my period has shown up 7 days later. TMI but my current flow is light ish. It isn't spotting but I'm wearing a pad just in case.
Prior to my implant I was the same. 28 day cycles and as regular as anything! Appreciate my body might still be adjusting but was told periods/cycles would return to normal immediately after removal. Now I'm panicking my implant has been masking a problem for yrs and there's something wrong.
Hope things work out for you and good luck with everything!

I've been off the implant for four months and I also have a short luteal phase. Not sure if this was the case before because I wasn't tracking ovulation before. Although the good news I have seen multiple messages on here about people with short luteal conceiving healthy babies so don't worry too much

I would definitely say it's your luteal phase. Your luteal phase is what's causing short cycles. My short luteal phase is also caused by a progesterone deficiency.
I only had my implant for 11 months and I was perfectly 'normal' before - totally regret it now...

Thanks both! So hard not to stress and worry. Maybe I ought to monitor it for the next few mths and if it continues, book an appointment with my GP. I'd book one now tbh, but with everything going on with corona virus etc. I know I'm not a priority.

The implant should be banned in my opinion. I had it for 6 months last year. It got taken out in august. Since ive had irregular periods which at first were really heavy. The first i had after removal i axtually called 111 as i was bleeding that badly.
Ive been TTC and ive had a CP in nov and december and again in feb. Im now nearly 11 days late for my period and neg tests.
Ive had bloods done and all is fine apparently. Its a nightmare.

@CarrieS8 In the nicest way possible your gp won't run a single test or see you about fertility until you've been trying for 12 months... my gp only agreed to run tests I've had had 2 chemical pregnancies but they won't even refer me to the fertility clinic for another 4 months.

I had implant in for 12 years but mine's the opposite....i used to have slightly irregular cycles which were longer (30-35) but now alternating months 33-34 and 43-44 days so hard to predict ovulation etc. just started basal body temp monitoring and cervical fluid monitoring as now 7 months since implant removal. they've told me a year too although they did test for PCOS just because of strong family history but nothing else. totally sympathise as GP just told me to be patient and need to allow my body time to adjust to normal hormone production and function after being artificially controlled for 12 years x

I had my implant out on 5th feb, withdrawal bleed a few days later.
Had my first AF 25th March which lasted 5 days, this month AF came when expected but only lasted 3 days 😕 very strange, wondering if everything is still sorting itself out or whether I need to be worried as we were planning to start TTC this month.

Hi everybody
So, I had been on nexplanon for three years exactly on April 16th of this year, on the 17th I started spotting and I did that for about 3 days then on the 20th, which is the day I was schedule for nexplanon removal, AF started flowing heavily. So that lasted forever about 7 more days. I noticed that my body was ovulating on May 1st from the amount of discharge I was having. Like a jelly discharge no smell and it was clear. I downloaded an app for pregnancy and marked down my days on my cycle and it said my ovulation peak day was April 30th which unknowing I had sex on that day with my fiancé. Now it's about time for my cycle to be coming again and I'm 7 days late. Also all pregnancy test that I have taken have said that I wasn't pregnant, and I'm curious to know because I've never had irregular periods so this is new to me.
